New Year, New Job

When I said in my Goals for 2008 that I was planning on making major career moves in the new year I was very serious. Effective January 7, I will no longer be with Sports Illustrated. I'm staying within the Time Inc. company and moving over to InStyle.com as the Editorial Producer.

Below is the official announcement:

Please join me in welcoming Tiffany Black to InStyle.com as Editorial Producer starting January 7th. Tiffany is currently a producer at SI.com for the mySI product and manages NFL game day blogging. She was formerly a sports producer at the New York Times on the Web. Before coming to New York, Tiffany worked online for the Atlanta-Journal Constitution and the Philadelphia Inquirer. Tiffany is a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She was born and raised in Hackensack, New Jersey and currently lives in Harlem. Tiffany will report to Kristen Beirne.

After more than a year of assisting me and Kristen, Nakisha Williams will now work for Tiffany as an Editorial Assistant helping her get up to speed and continuing her Product Finder and reporting responsibilities.

Lisa Tilson, whom we all know as one of our industrious interns, will replace Nakisha as the Editorial Assistant working for me and Kristen. She starts in her new role on January 7th. Prior to coming to InStyle.com, Lisa was an intern at MarthaStewart.com. She is a graduate of the University of Kansas where she worked on the Kansas Alumni Magazine and at the University Daily Kansan. She was also captain of the school’s swimming and diving teams.

Please do what you can to help Tiffany, Nakisha and Lisa transition to their new responsibilities.

Thanks.
Gail Glickman Horwood (my new boss)
Executive Director, InStyle.com

I expect more great things to come in 2008 :-P
